Cheapest Way to Travel from LCCT Airport, Kuala Lumpur
Posted on Sep 22 in LCCT Airport Transportation Tips, Travel Tipsby ShelynPrint
Most Malaysians are familiar with LCCT airport but maybe not non-Malaysians. This article is particularly useful for the budget traveller who flies on budget airlines, and would generally opt for the cheapest and most convenient transportation to the capital city of Kuala Lumpur (KL).
What is LCCT? LCCT stands for Low Cost Carrier Terminal. It’s a project specifically designed and built to accommodate the growing passengers of the low cost airlines, especially the pessengers of Air Asia, Asia’s largest low fare, “no frills” airline.

I will usually take the airasia bus from LCCT to sentral too.( but only when i take a plane from Singapore to KL)
However, for Singaporean, i will recommend firstcoach instead of airplane. Because I think taking a bus is more comfortable and convenient. In addition, the cost of the bus and a plane(mid night flight) is roughly the same.
But the downside of a bus is that it will require longer traveling time ( 6hours; 2-3 hours total travel time for flight)
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for your recommendation. I think taking bus is a good option if the travel time isn’t important to me. Depend on the situation. Fly by plane can be quite hassle due to the waiting time.
I was searching for similar information. Thanks for it and i promise that i will be visiting here often from now ! Thanks a lot for sharing. Keep blogging.

There’s a new service from LCCT direct to Melaka/Malacca the historical city. The cost is 22 RM. Frequency is about 4 trips per day. I used to have to take the bus to KL – then look for a way to get to Puduraya (taxi, or 2 LRTs) then another bus to Melaka.
LCCT to Melaka: 9am 1130am 2pm 4pm 9 pm
Melaka to LCCT: 5am 8am 1230noon 230pm
Notes: It goes to KLIA as well
From Melaka, the bus can be boarded at Mahkota Medical Centre (try to get there at least 30 mins earlier)
Hi Den,
