Luang Prabang, Laos ~ Tea + Book under the trees

I used to dream about having a very comfortable house, preferably white in color, all white, facing the sea. If the sea is not possible, I will build an artificial waterfall in the garden. I just want the sound of the gentle flow of water, as though I was surrounded by nature. I would then sit on a very cozy couch facing the garden with the brilliant sunshine shining through the window.
While indulging myself in the sunshine and the sound of nature, I pamper myself with a good book and a cup of aromatic tea. A beautiful serene morning belongs to me completely, no interruption, no distracting thoughts.

I . Belong . To . Myself . Completely. I miss this long lost feeling. Perhaps it’s time to throw off the shackles in my heart, and pursue my freedom.

Shelyn, the last paragraph (about freedom) reminds me of an article I read recently in Reader’s Digest (Malaysia Edition/Nov 2009). Gosh, you need to read that article. All about HK pop star Sammi Cheng seeking a different lifestyle. I try to find the full ‘pirated’ edition of the article. But without success. I found this article (without the pictures):

Me too…I have a dream.LOL! This phrase reminds me of Martin Luther King.

    Cheers!

I read Sammi’s story, it’s very inspiring and it’s indeed how I feel right now and I have made a big decision of life, ok, maybe not that big, but at least I have been pondering for long before coming to this decision, that I’ll be taking a REAL long break from next year onwards, to rediscover myself, before continuing my journey.

Will blog about it when 2010 comes :-)

    Thanks for sharing the article!
