Malaysian Sport Aviation Federation (MSAF) and AKA Balloon Sdn Bhd organized the first International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Putrajaya 2 weeks ago.

On 22 March, we woke up at 6:45 a.m. and rushed to Putrajaya to catch the balloon fun fly at 8 a.m.. It was so punctual that the first balloon was about to fly when we arrived at Putrajaya. Luckily I listened to Don to take off at 7 a.m. sharp without being lazy to get out of the bed.

There were total 10 countries including Malaysia participated in the hot air balloon fiesta. Each country took turn to fly their balloons.

From Germany.

Multicolor balloon from Thailand.
Balloon with Heart from Switzerland.
I kind of like this orange balloon.

Nescafe from New Zealand.

From Japan.

This the cutest one from Belgium!!
Photobucket

This stunning peacock from Holland!
Holland rocks man…
Photobucket

Elephant from Belgium.
Too bad it refused to face us.
Photobucket

Look at the spectacular view in the sky!!
Photobucket

And finally, Spiderman, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, etc etc etc from Malaysia!!

Within half an hour time, all balloons gone. I had no idea where they landed at. So we visited around. There were a lot of booths selling food and drink. We weren’t interested though.

Photobucket

The balloon area opened for only photographers. Hmm… I wondered how did they define ‘Photographer’. Must at least with SLR camera? Can my normal digicam join the crowd?

Photobucket

There was balloon ride also. Look at how they setup the hot air balloon.

But it’s very pathetic that it’s just a tethered hot air balloon ride that you were like an idiot fastened in the same position for 5 minutes, then descend.

Photobucket

The place was indeed happening with lots of paramotors.

Another interesting activity ~ Animal Cage!

Photobucket

Doesn’t it look like an animal being trapped in the cage for display?
Look at the depression in her eyes, with mingled indignation and helplessness.
No way I would ever get into that Waterball ride!!
Photobucket

Ok… this Sphere ride sounds more fun. The girl was trying to get into the ball.

Photobucket

Trying REAL HARD, due to the size, I guess.
Photobucket

And finally!!
Ooopss… I forgot to take the pictures of how they run in the ball.
Photobucket

Nevermind… back to the waterball. Look like this kid is able to walk on the water!!
Photobucket

Looking forward to the real hot air balloon ride!!
