Hi hmong. In reference to your question, the Hmong are a different group of people all together although they come from Southeast Asia, like the Lao. On that note, similar or different can be quite subjective… We can say all people of African descent are similar since they share some common characteristics but they would have many different sub groups also such as the Zulu, Tutsi, Hutu, etc.
