We woke up at 6:15 a.m. in the second morning and the sky was completely bright. We gotta catch the first boat dive at 7a.m. so we had to rush for breakfast at 6:30a.m.

Today we were going to Sipadan dive spots!! So the boat departed earlier as it gonna take 25 mins to get to the Sipadan Island.

The first dive spot that we went was Sipadan South Point where we saw white tip shark, black tip shark, many turtles, black lion fish, bump-headed fish, pipe fish and so on.

I didn’t take any picture in the first day dive so I captured some interesting screens from the video clip. Don’t expect the pictures quality to be good :-p… but you can watch the video instead ^_^

We descended down to a ledge from the boat. Look… everyone held the mask and the regulator while entering the water to prevent the mask and the regulator come off.

And look again, an idiot never do this while entering the water. She just entered the water like this with the hands by the side.

Hehe… yeah… I completely forgot about the safety action until I watched the video only found myself very bergaya.

SipadanPoint22
A group of us, 8 divers, 2 divemasters and 1 cameraman were happily descending…

The very first thing to do under the water was to say “HI” to the camera.

And my boyfriend never forgot to give me a kiss regardless where we were :-p

The first thrilling scene that we saw was a BIG turtle.
We were so excited to see such a big turtle and got to get so close to it.

After the first morning dive, we rested at Sipadan beach for an hour before going for the second dive at 10:30 a.m. at Barracuda Point.

Here is the place where all Sipadan divers rested during diving interval time.

After an hour of waiting, we continued our journey to Barracuda Point.

Due to the strong current here in Barracuda Point, there is lots of food which duly brings in tons of fish - schooling bannerfish and redtooth triggerfish, great barracuda and dogtooth tuna are prevalent in large numbers.

Grey reef sharks are always patrolling here hunting for lunch.

We were engulfed in a tornado of barracudas – several thousand strong and more than the eye can take in.

Here where there was strong current and we were all waiting on the bottom where the current is generally weaker than at the surface. We waited for the current to pass while enjoying the amazing scene of tons of Barracuda swam through us.

We spotted big sharks too!!

Tornado of Barracudas!!
Amazing, isn’t it?
That’s why Barracuda Point is one of the popular dive spots in Sipadan.

Here we saw turtle again.

To make a great video…

SipadanPoint34

I gotta learn it!!

SipadanPoint35_1

I wanted to adopt the same cool pose and take a fabulous picture of me with a giant group of barracudas as my background also, but then I was afraid that Andy, the cameraman, might not be patient enough to wait for me to get to pose like this.

Again… to make a great video…

The old loving couple in the picture are Linda and Mark from the states. I guess they are probably more than 50 year-old and yet still so loving and active and energetic! They did 3 boat dives everyday until we left the island and they were still there.

So vigorous and enthusiastic. My role model when I grow old!!

We left Sipadan Island and went back to the resort for lunch. We continued our afternoon dive to Don King Yama, Kapalai Island at 2:15 p.m.
