Tawau Harbour

Posted on May 07 in Malaysia Exploration, Sipadanby ShelynPrintText Resizer Text Resizer

I blogged about my dive trip in Sipadan last year December, but solely on my diving activities.
I decided to post some boring pictures that we took in Tawau harbour when we had nothing to do but waiting for our flight.

This is SeaAdventure resort in Sipadan converted from oil rig. It’s located just few miles away from the Mabul Resort that we stayed in Sipadan.
Looks cool huh?

Before having our dinner in Tawau Seafood Restaurant, we wandered around Tawau town but seriously, there is nothing interesting in Tawau town. So we just sat at the harbour looking at people and boats.

Photobucket
It was quite a busy place, people just hung around here chit chatting or doing nothing, like us.
Photobucket
How often do we have ample free time to just sit quietly appreciating the ocean and boats?
We always think that it’s an extravagant activity to spend our time. How pathetic.

After looking at so many boats, this boat seems to stand out for its simplicity and its contradictory colours.

Malays’ life is always very simple. Some simple food like a bottle of Coke and sandwiches and a simple place like port, suffice for a whole family to spend their weekend together.
Photobucket
Can our people pay more attention on the environmental protection?
Photobucket
I wonder what do they do for their living.
Photobucket
They have few fishing rods with small bells on it to alert them when they get bites.
Photobucket
Those shrimps are their booties.

What a simple life they have, while we were flying back to KL getting ready for our hectic life.

    LZ,

What a nice experience you have there in Ireland. I wish I can study there too :p but too late…

    fufu,
You don’t have to be an expert to learn diving. Basically you just need to know how to fin and stay calm.
