We Wanna Scream in Christmas Day

It’s Christmas Day. We woke up at about noon time didn’t know what to do. But we didn’t want to spend our Christmas day at home or in the shopping malls.

So I told Don:
“Why don’t we scream the place down?”
“How?”
“Scream Park!!”

The huge signage always caught my eyes whenever I drove through Sunway. I have been wondering how eerie it is and can it really scares the pants off me.

So we googled it.

Prison Break ‘Live’ sounds interesting. With the clock ticking, we must break out from the disorienting labyrinth which is full of frightening surprises, both real and imagined.

Besides the Prison Break ‘Live’ experience, there are three other exciting attractions within Lynton V Harris’ Scream Park, ANGOSCIA THEATER experience, The Terror Tunnel in 3D, and ‘Rumah Hantu’ in 3DX.

I was extremely excited as watching horror movies is my hobby, not to mention experience it in real. Don seemed excited too, which didn’t really make sense to me.

“I thought you don’t like horror movies, you never want to watch them.”
“Yeah, I don’t like horror movies. Those movies ghosts are way scarier than the real ghosts.”
… -_-” (Define real ghosts)

So deal, we are going to Scream Park with NO REGRET! Even though the ticket is freaking expensive, RM45 per pax!!

It was already 2:00 p.m., Sunway Lagoon actually closes at 6:00 p.m. So Don was worried if we have enough time in the Scream Park. I was like… 3 hours is way too long in a scream park man. Don’t be deceived by the over-exaggerated advertisement, I bet it probably takes only 1 hour to finish.

So we quickly packed up and headed towards Sunway Lagoon. In fact I had nothing to pack, I didn’t bring anything at all and I was in Don’s house. I didn’t even have a shorts or pants, I was wearing jean skirt. But I don’t think visiting scream park requires me to climb or jump or swim or run or whatsoever. So jean skirt should be fine.

Without wasting anymore time, we reached Sunway Lagoon at 3:00p.m. sharp. Thanks God that the line wasn’t long at all. Yeah, what we expect, it was already 3:00p.m.

I was so excited seeing this signage again.

When we were queuing, a very friendly and helpful staff came by to offer assistance. So we told him that we would like to get tickets to Scream Park and asked him how long does it take to experience the whole scream park. “It takes about 20 minutes.”, he said.

WHAT?? 20 minutes!!

“Ok… what is our Plan B?” I asked Don.

The staff further explained that it’s not worth to only visit Scream Park. He suggested us to take 2 parks combination package which costs only RM48 per person with MyKad. The 2 parks would include Amusement Park and Water Park. We can access to Scream Park also with this package.

“Ok… that’s our Plan B.” Don said.

Sounds cool… with 3 more Ringgit, we get to access to 2 parks including Scream Park!!

We got the map from the counter and were quite excited that we would visit Wild Wild West and World of Adventure. Too bad I didn’t bring extra clothes or swimsuit, or else we would have covered Water of Africa also.

It wasn’t really cute so we didn’t bother to look and walked towards Scream Park entrance.

There was a long line to access to Scream Park.

Don stopped at the ticket counter to inquire about the package we purchased. The ticket officer told us that our package doesn’t include Scream Park. WT… that friendly staff at the ticket counter just now didn’t seem to be friendly to me now. He gave the wrong information!!

So we checked the rate to access to Scream Park. RM25 for the Scream Park Upgrade for only 20 minutes! No way! So we dropped Scream Park. But I was still elated by all the exciting rides in Sunway Lagoon. Anything that would possibly make me scream just turn me on.

We quickly made our move to The Lost City of Gold.

My favourite roller coaster! Nothing more heart-stopping than roller coaster ride. I like the thrilling moment when it cruises over the top and begins a freefall. That is the only moment that I can scream like there was no tomorrow.

But I wasn’t very satisfied with Sunway Lagoon roller coaster ride. It’s just an easy one with only one short dive. Maybe 2, but the second one definitely doesn’t count.

We missed this Wagon Wheel. :-(

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (5)

This water ride completely made me wet with the water splashed from everywhere.

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (12)

It moved pretty fast and kept spinning made me dizzy. I tried to snap some photos while spinning. I never tell this kid to look at the camera but looks like he enjoys to be photographed.

I bet many people would find me weird wearing a jeans mini-skirt. I used to discriminate against the ladies who wear skirts and high heels to the outdoor activities. So inconvenient! Luckily I was wearing sandals, otherwise I really looked like an alien.

This is an easy relaxing water ride. And yet people still screamed like they were chased by Buffalo.

This cowboy boots spun so fast that my neck started to ache. It does nothing but spinning with high speed just to make us feel faint.

Don still managed to snap a picture of us while we were spun like the clothes in the washing machine.

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (20)

One of the rides that I will never want to miss, Tomahawk!!

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (21)

I like this stomach-launching twists and turns on the Tomahawk ride as we were swung 360-degrees through the air.

Sunway Lagoon R 08

We were hung for like few seconds at the peak and this was the only moment I can view the whole world from high with no barrier.

I told Don that Anne’s friend had this terrifying experience before that someone threw up in the middle of the ride and the puke was all over Anne’s friend’s body.

Don looked terrified.

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (24)

After the Tomahawk ride, the Pirate’s Revenge is just a peanut to us.

Sunway Lagoon R 08 (22)

My stomach started to feel bad. I felt like vomiting. Maybe because I had only breakfast in the morning and I was now with an empty stomach.

Don was like overly excited that he kept talking about what would happen if we puked at this point of time and angle. For any degree that the ship swung, he came out with the analysis of where the puke would land at.

I felt quite disturbing.

Then a young Malay dude who sat next to me laughed as if there was no tomorrow. So freaking loud and none of a second he actually stop laughing. I guess he was freaking frightened that he just couldn’t stop laughing and screaming.
So on my left, Don was giving speech of his puking analysis; on my right, the young dude was laughing and screaming the place down.

Nevertheless, it was a great Christmas day filled with joys and happiness! It wasn’t that Sunway Lagoon is a paradise; the happiness is about whom we spend time with and how we choose to enjoy our lives.

    Hi,

Was browsing through images on Scream Park and I came across yours. I treated myself to a scare recently at that very Scream Park at Sunway Lagoon. They had this promotion and it was only RM15 per pax. Man, what an attraction. I was sweating when I got out of that place. Hahaha…

    Cheers!
